Philanthropy with ‘Hart’: How Lois and Arn Art Plan to Leave a Legacy

Lois and Arn have spent a lifetime serving others. Through teaching, philanthropy, volunteerism, and even service in the armed forces, the Harts fulfilled their sense of community and responsibility. Now, they’re looking to serve beyond their lifetimes. Through a legacy gift at the Community Foundation, the Harts plan to support causes they care about in perpetuity.

Learn how the Harts are converting their assets and home, affectionately referred to as Hart Haven, into community impact.

One purpose of a community foundation is to provide support for a community for generations to come. The Community Foundation’s Legacy Society recognizes the 200+ donors who have extended their charitable giving beyond their lifetime in some manner. It includes all donors who have established an endowment fund during their lifetime, advised our staff that the Community Foundation is in their estate plans, or made a gift from their estate into an endowed fund. Their generous, strategic gifts will benefit Northern Colorado and the Eastern Plains communities far into the future.

Learn more about the Foundation’s Legacy Society and view a list of current members. Contact the Community Foundation at (970) 224-3462 or info@nocofoundation.org to learn how you can leave a philanthropic legacy.

Last week, we celebrated members of the Legacy Society with an ice cream social.  View all event photos here

New Grant and Donation Portal

The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado is implementing an upgraded technology platform, including a new fund portal for anyone with a fund at the Foundation. We’re excited to share the features and functionality of this new tool and appreciate your patience during the transition.

We will share additional resources as we near the launch of our new portal in mid-August. You can learn more about the transition to our new technology platform and the new fund portal. Note there are no changes to the grant application portal. Please contact donorservices@nocofoundation.org with any questions.
