About Fort Collins High School Alumni Scholarship Fund
The donors behind this scholarship fund, who graduated from FCHS over 50 years ago, share a profound desire to express their appreciation for their cherished school and the education they received there. Initiated in 1983 by the class of 1933, led by Stu Case, this fund symbolizes the collective gratitude of FCHS graduates who firmly believe that the bonds formed at the school endure throughout life – “once a Lambkin, always a Lambkin.”
The establishment of this scholarship reflects their investment in today’s youth, intending to foster a brighter and more prosperous future for the community. It embodies their commitment to ensuring that the values and connections developed at FCHS inspire and benefit future generations.

“Thank you so much for choosing me as the recipient of the Fort Collins High School Alumni Scholarship. I feel very blessed to have received this generous scholarship and extremely excited to be able to start this new chapter in my life. Thanks to your help, I will be able to study Biomedical Sciences at CSU with the hope of preparing for Med School to achieve my dream of becoming a doctor.”

“I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere thanks for your generous donation, making the Fort Collins High School Alumni Scholarship possible. I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to have been selected for this opportunity. Without help such as yours, I would not be able to even consider the selective liberal arts colleges I am drawn to. I believe that attending one of these schools will best help me achieve my goals. Thanks to your generosity, I will be able to pursue my dream of attending Mount Holyoke College and study renewable energy technologies. I appreciate your provision of the scholarship more than I can say.”

“To say that I am grateful to receive this scholarship is an understatement. Next year, I plan on attending the University of Denver and have aspirations of becoming a impactful educator and change maker in my community. My experiences in high school have led me to want to pursue a career in teaching and the students I have encountered have inspired me to do so. Not only will I be able to attend DU next year with financial confidence, but I also will have the peace of mind that my community recognizes my efforts and believes in my ability to impact the next generation of learners. The lasting impact that you make on the Northern Colorado Community is incredible. Thank you for gifting your resources so that I can pursue my dreams and goals.”

“My education is the most valuable gift I have received. My family has instilled in me the importance of academic excellence, and I am eternally grateful for such support. I will never make the mistake of believing anyone, most importantly myself, is done learning. I hope to continue to be a student throughout my whole life, whether in institutions or my career. Thank you, Fort Collins High School Alumni Association, for being a pillar in my journey. The support you have provided is essential and eternally helpful in allowing me to pursue knowledge. Being able to provide this to students throughout the years speaks to the impact FCHS has made on generations. I am deeply honored to have been granted some of the most formative four years of my life to date, and the generosity of the community continues to astound me. Once a Lambkin, always a Lambkin.”

“I am so incredibly honored and excited to receive this award from Fort Collins High School alumni. My time at FCHS has helped me explore my creative and academic interests while also challenging me to go outside of my comfort zone and try new things. Without the guidance and support of FCHS teachers and faculty, I never would’ve found my passion for the social sciences and been able to push myself to take anthropology and sociology classes at Front Range Community College. With this scholarship award, I will be able to continue my studies in these fields and specialize in Indigenous Studies so that I can support Native peoples in the ways they need and educate my community on their cultures and current importance in our world. Eventually, I hope to become a professor so that I can teach others and give back to my community in the ways that FCHS has given to me, a chance to learn and grow surrounded by genuinely motivated and caring people. Thank you so much to all of the donors who have made this possible, I am so grateful for the opportunities this has given me, and I can’t wait to see what I accomplish with them.”
