What to Expect
Over the course of the program, nine class sessions will be held in Fort Collins, which participants are expected to attend in full. Classes cover a range of topics related to housing, including regional context, supply & demand challenges, development barriers and opportunities, as well as federal, state and local policy.
Participants will engage in class discussion and complete “homework” assignments outside of class time. Snacks, beverages, and lunch are provided for each session. Program tuition is $750.
Program participants Will:
- Actively learn about complex Northern Colorado housing issues from all angles including: land acquisition, water, policy implications, affordability, and funding, via presentations, and dialogue
- Interact and dialogue with regional housing leaders for an inside view of issues affecting Northern Colorado’s housing future
- Build active connections with key stakeholders in the region and state
Who is the cohort designed for?
We welcome a wide variety of applicants and hope to have a well-rounded and diverse cohort of community professionals. This program is intended to provide a broad base of housing knowledge to those who don’t already work within the housing system, or those who work in a specific part of housing and want to learn more about other topics.
