RAFT – Rural Alternative For Transportation

Rural Alternative for Transportation provides transportation for seniors and adults with disabilities in a way that supports independence, dignity, and freedom. Its vision is a community where everyone has access to reliable transportation, helping remove barriers that can prevent people from fully participating in daily life. Through compassionate service and a commitment to accessibility, it connects individuals to essential appointments, resources, and opportunities. By working closely with community partners and staying forward-thinking in its approach, it strengthens community connections and helps ensure that transportation is not a limitation for those who need it most.

SAINT, Inc.

SAINT Volunteer Transportation helps older adults and people with disabilities maintain independence, dignity, and connection by providing free, personalized, door-to-door transportation in Northern Colorado. When people cannot safely or affordably get to medical appointments, grocery stores, or social connections, isolation and health risks increase. SAINT addresses this issue through a volunteer-driven model that matches trained volunteer drivers with riders for essential trips, including medical care, errands, and social engagement. In FY2025, SAINT provided 20,890 rides to community members in Fort Collins and Loveland, supported by more than 100 volunteer drivers. A significant portion of these trips connected riders to critical medical care, while others supported daily living needs and meaningful social connection. By offering reliable, relationship-based transportation at no cost, SAINT reduces isolation, supports aging in place, and strengthens community connections. Its impact goes beyond miles and rides—it builds trust, fosters dignity, and creates a community where neighbors help neighbors thrive.
