Kristin leads the Foundation and guides our efforts as a service provider to philanthropists while helping to inspire impactful community projects. She is a lifelong proponent of philanthropy, and throughout her 25-year career, she’s experienced its ability to have a lasting – and meaningful – impact on communities. She previously served as executive vice president for the Daniels Fund, grew up in New Orleans (Geaux Saints), and earned her master’s degree from the University of Colorado. Her family relocated from Denver in the spring of 2021, and they are excited to spend time outdoors hiking, biking, exploring, and learning about Northern Colorado.

Claire Bouchard

Claire guides the Foundation’s regional initiatives and supports the Foundation’s community fund committee grantmaking. She has held engagement, communications, and community impact positions at the City of Fort Collins – Government, Larimer County, and United Way of Larimer County. Claire was a founding partner of the creative firm, Slate Communications and the national marketing director for Loveland’s SAFEbuilt. Claire enjoys exploring Old Town Fort Collins, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her family and friends.

John Chapdelaine

Director of the Eastern Colorado Community Fund

John provides Foundation leadership to the Eastern Colorado Community Fund (ECCF) board and visibility throughout the Eastern Plains. John served for 30 years with the State of Colorado, as a teacher, principal, prison-education director, and warden on the Eastern Plains. John lives in Haxtun and is passionate about the sense of community in Eastern Colorado.

Jordan Cook
Jordan Cook

Director of Finance and Operations

Jordan leads the finance and accounting team at the Foundation, overseeing operations and handling risk mitigation. His expertise in corporate accounting and his background in audit and investments give Jordan a unique lens through which to serve the Foundation. He holds an active CPA license and is passionate about supporting the local nonprofit ecosystem. In his free time, Jordan enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with his wife and two kids.

James Hamilton
James Hamilton

Director of Development and Philanthropic Services

James serves the Foundation’s fund holders by leading the Foundation’s development and donor relations functions. He has nearly 20 years of direct development and consulting experience and has led multi-million dollar fundraising initiatives for health care, education, human service, and faith-based organizations. His expertise includes major gifts, campaign planning and management, foundation and corporate fundraising, leadership fundraising training, and volunteer management. James and his wife live in Fort Collins with their three kids.

Catherine Bucholz

Catherine supports the chief engagement officer and works to implement the Foundation’s development plan. She utilizes the Raiser’s Edge skills she honed at the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Raised in San Antonio, she attended The University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn., and recently moved to Fort Collins with her family from Flagstaff, Ariz. She enjoys her dogs, and time outdoors, especially hiking and skiing.

Sydney Clevenger
Sydney Clevenger, CPA

Controller

Sydney supports the accounting department by performing the daily accounting functions for the Foundation. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Colorado State University and holds an active CPA license. She is a Colorado native and loves to travel, bake, ride horses, and spend time with her husband.

Mary Ericson

Communications Officer

Mary oversees the Foundation’s marketing and communication functions.  She has a passion for the nonprofit sector, and most recently served with CASA of Larimer County and The Matthews House. Raised in Greeley, she received her master’s in public administration from the University of Colorado, bachelor’s in business administration from Colorado State, and remains a loyal CSU Ram. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time in the sunshine with her family.

Codi Farrar

Codi oversees internal IT and HR operations. She also supports the President and the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. She holds a BA from Colorado State University and a MS in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Denver. Codi enjoys concerts, traveling, and spending time with friends and family

Robyn Goldy

Events and Communications Specialist

Robyn manages the Foundation’s signature events, such as the Celebration of Philanthropy, and assists with various communications and social media functions. For more than 20 years, Robyn worked in higher ed as an alumni relations professional in Colorado, Minnesota, and Iowa. She has a BA from Colorado College and an MS from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She enjoys reading, crafting, and spending quality time with her husband and two dogs.

Francie Koehmstedt

Operations Specialist

As the operations specialist, Francie oversees the front desk at the Community Foundation, greeting visitors and staff everyday with a friendly smile and sometimes, if we’re lucky, a sample of her delectable baked goods from her side business, Francie Pants Baked Goodies. Francie and her husband Steve have been longtime Fort Collins residents since their marriage 25 years ago. With her expansive administrative background, a trove of local knowledge, and a penchant for baking, Francie is certainly a “sweet” addition to the Foundation staff.

Elizabeth Messerli

Elizabeth helps donors experience an easy and strategic approach to giving, connecting them to causes they’re passionate about and supporting multi-generational and legacy philanthropy. Elizabeth holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional. She enjoys spending time with family, exploring National Parks, and traveling.

Carrie Miller

Philanthropic Services Specialist

Carrie processes approximately 1,200 grants each year, helps fund advisors gain access to their charitable funds, and serves as a customer service contact for current and potential donors. Carrie is a Colorado native from Windsor. She worked at the National Association for Interpretation for ten years before joining the Foundation.

Sandra Sheffler

Philanthropic Services Specialist

Sandra supports philanthropic services by maintaining database records for donors and grants. She has 20 years’ experience in accounting-based positions, including 14 years in municipal government. A Longmont native, she’s lived in rural Loveland for 24 years, farming and doing custom hay for neighbors. Sandra enjoys traveling, family time, ATVing/camping/hiking and loves every type of animal; she has horses, cats, and cows.
