Wendy ensures that accounting and investment activities are carried out according to policies, procedures, and objectives set by the Board of Trustees. She oversees projections and forecasting in order to secure the organization’s long-term financial health. Wendy also directs donor services and the Foundation’s human resources. She has 15 years’ experience of contract CFO services to regional nonprofit organizations and businesses.

Mishelle oversees content for the Foundation’s publications. She has an extensive background in communications — specializing in media relations — and studied journalism and public relations at CSU. A fourth-generation Coloradan, she has served many nonprofits, including ChildSafe, Habitat for Humanity, Fort Collins Symphony, and Bas Bleu Theatre. She studied in Norway and loves to travel with her husband Bob.

Ray carries out policies established by the Board of Trustees and strives to accomplish its strategic objectives. He works with donors interested in establishing new funds, specializing in helping with complex gift arrangements. A former practicing attorney, Ray served as the CEO of two other foundations before coming to the Foundation in 2003. Ray and his wife, Mary, live in the foothills west of Fort Collins.

John provides Foundation leadership to the Eastern Colorado Community Fund (ECCF) board and visibility throughout the Eastern Plains. John served for 30 years with the State of Colorado, as a teacher, principal, prison-education director, and warden on the Eastern Plains. John lives in Haxtun and is passionate about the sense of community in Eastern Colorado.

Ella leads our events and communications team and carries out fund-development efforts focusing on our region’s nonprofit sector. She also provides leadership for our role of Regional Champion for Colorado Gives and supports Foundation initiatives and projects that enhance community engagement. Ella grew up in Crested Butte, Colo., and previously worked at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.

Codi manages our office, takes care of visitors, and oversees the internship program. She previously worked in healthcare administration and interned at the United Way of Larimer County as an undergrad at CSU. She is a member of Junior League, volunteers for Homeward Alliance, and A Little Help. In her free time, Codi can be found at concerts or Rockies baseball games.

Lizzie coordinates events and communications efforts. She graduated from Gannon University with a bachelor of arts in English and a minor in advertising and communications. She’s been involved in nonprofit missions for most of her life. Coming from the East Coast, she’s been enjoying getting outdoors and discovering Colorado.

Jeremy reviews daily accounting functions, processes the month end close procedures, and helps to meet the financial reporting needs of the foundation. His professional experience includes eight years with a Denver-area retirement services firm. He held a FINRA Series 6 license and was responsible for mutual fund fees and revenue share allocation. Growing up in Fort Collins, he earned both his undergrad and MBA degrees from Colorado State University. Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and skiing.

Mandy works on community engagement special projects and supports the President and Chief Engagement Officer while creating lasting relationships with the community. A native of Fort Collins and a graduate of CSU, she previously served as the Community Life Center Family Services Director at the Matthews House. Mandy loves music and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dogs.

Jerrie oversees the Foundation’s visual presentation, manages the website, and coordinates multimedia needs. She holds a master’s of science in arts and nonprofit administration from Boston University and has worked in nonprofit marketing since 2009, including for Cambridge Arts Council and Boston Children’s Hospital. Jerrie lived in Argentina, Russia, and Boston, before settling in Northern Colorado with her family.

Elizabeth helps donors experience an easy and strategic approach to giving. She also provides staff leadership to community fund committees and oversees our scholarship program. Elizabeth holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional. She enjoys spending time with family, exploring Colorado, and discovering different cultures.

Carrie processes approximately 1,000 grants each year, supports the Foundation’s scholarship program, helps fund advisors gain access to their charitable funds, and serves as a customer service contact for current and potential donors. Carrie is a Colorado native from Windsor. She worked at the National Association for Interpretation for ten years before joining the Foundation.

Katie oversees accounting functions, manages the audit, and provides financial reporting to the foundation and its stakeholders. She ensures that the Foundation meets its financial obligations in a timely manner and that it complies with generally accepted accounting principles and meets audit standards. Katie graduated from Colorado Christian University and holds an active CPA license.
Accounting and Donor Services Coordinator

Sandra processes daily accounting functions, including gift processing, payables, and grants. She also supports donor services with fund maintenance and scholarship fund processing. She has 20 years’ experience in accounting-based positions, including 14 years in municipal government. A Longmont native, she’s lived in rural Loveland for 24 years, farming and doing custom hay for neighbors. Sandra enjoys traveling, family time, ATVing/camping/hiking and loves every type of animal; she has horses, cats, and cows.
Student interns are a tremendous asset to our organization in the areas of donor services, marketing, graphic design, and project management. Interns become familiar with key community leaders and interact with them by phone, email, and in person.
