We are so happy for Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley who recently received a transformative $3.5 million gift from American author and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott that will allow them to address the critical need for affordable homeownership in Longmont, Dacono, and Estes Park. Along with Habitat for Humanity International, St. Vrain Habitat was one of 84 Habitat affiliates to receive a portion of Scott’s $436 million gift. High priority will be placed on land acquisition, engineering/construction of the infrastructure for current properties, and ramping up Habitat’s home construction and repair program. In 2021, the Foundation made a grant to St. Vrain Habitat to aid them in their vital work.
