The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area recently received a $26,850 grant from the National Park Foundation as part of its Open OutDoors for Kids initiative. The funds will make it possible to provide field trip funding to get more than 3,500 students out of the classroom and exploring the watershed, enhancing hands-on learning opportunities, and deepening connections to the natural world. Schools can reach out to the Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area to inquire about field trip funding.
