The Colores de la Comunidad is a dynamic, thought-provoking mural filled with symbolism, located on Tenney Alley, between Mountain Ave. and the Civic Center Parking Structure. The mural was inspired by conversations and interviews with Poudre School District students and teachers, local Native American friends of Trees, Water & People, and TWP partners in Central America and Pine Ridge, South Dakota. In the painting, Silva shares stories of migration, the challenges indigenous communities endure, and portrays these in a beautiful, colorful and impactful piece.
