Since 1975, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has served our region by promoting local philanthropy. As part of our ongoing effort to be the regional leader in building a more engaged, philanthropic and visionary community, we host an annual event that focuses on an important concept: celebrating the generosity of Northern Colorado citizens. This event is not a fundraiser; it is an informative celebration of giving and an opportunity to connect with community leaders, donors, and volunteers.

Dr. Edward M. Warner: Thinking Outside the Box: Energy, Environment, and Community
Dr. Edward M. Warner is a noted geologist, philanthropist, and conservationist. His career as an exploration geologist culminated in his discovery in 1993 of Jonah Field and the first commercial exploitation of Pinedale Field in Sublette County, Wyoming. Dr. Warner left the natural gas business at the end of 2000 to pursue his philanthropic interests in the U.S. and Africa. In 2005, Colorado State University named the College of Natural Resources in his honor.
